RETURN/REFUND POLICY & WARRANTY

LampsAndLightingGalore.com stands by the quality and craftsmanship of all available merchandise.  If you are not 100% satisfied with your product or selection we will work with you to the best of our abilities regarding any merchandise returns, store credits, exchanges and/or shipping concerns.Please carefully read our Return and Refund Policies prior to ordering.  By clicking on the “order now” button you are agreeing to the terms of our return, store credit, exchange, warranty and cancellation policies.

RETURNED MERCHANDISE

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL REJECTED/REFUSED MERCHANDISE QUALIFY FOR A RETURN CLAIM UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED BY LAMPS AND LIGHTING GALORE.
Shipment refusal for reasons other than damage, defect or shipment error may result in a 25% refusal penalty fee.  Any refused shipments do not necessarily constitute the right to any refund credit.Please do NOT ship back un-authorized returns. Otherwise, the return claim may be automatically rejected and the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.  Pre-Authorized RMA (Return Merchandise Authorizations) returns qualify for a merchandise/store credit or exchange only.  Original handling and shipping fees are non-refundable.  Re-stocking fees may apply.  In order to return an item please notify us beforehand for pre-authorization.No merchandise may be returned under any circumstances unless said merchandise is pre-authorized.  Any unauthorized returns will not necessarily be re-stocked and/or result in a credit refund or exchange.  Please note that payment credits occur only when similar merchandise is not available for replacement.  No returns are permitted on any parts that have been used, installed, modified, or disassembled. All returns must be pre-authorized and be sent to the Seller freight prepaid and insured by Buyer. No refund or credit on labour or freight charges. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.  All electrical or mechanical parts are non-returnable except for our touch lamp sensors as specified under our warranty policy.

DAMAGED GOODS POLICY

We make every effort to pack items so they will arrive at your door safely.  We have a low 1% breakage rate.  Despite our best efforts, sometimes breakage does occur.  If you receive damaged, missing pieces, or mistakenly shipped merchandise please keep all packing boxes and materials and contact us by e-mail at:  contactus@LampsAndLightingGalore.comcontact within 24 hours of receiving the delivery.   Further specific instructions will be given within 1-3 business days.

CLAIMS FILED WITHIN 24 HOURS

As a reminder, we must be informed of all damaged, missing, or mistakenly shipped products within 48 hours of package delivery.  Otherwise, return claims may be delayed and/or rejected.  All claims associated with damaged package/product in transit will result in a call tag merchandise pickup arranged by Lamps And Lighting Galore’s Warehouse facility through its shipping carrier (i.e. UPS, UPSP, Fedex, etc).

Damage claims must be filed within 24 hours after order delivery date; NO exceptions.

All return claims involving allegedly defective (non-damaged) or mis-shipped merchandise will result in the following action: Lamps And Lighting Galore warehouse will provide a (prepaid) return shipping label to be affixed by the end customer for shipment back to our warehouse.  Once received, the merchandise will be inspected to determine whether the order was either mis-shipped or the product was defective.  Lamps And Lighting Galore’s warehouse is responsible for return shipping cost if the return claim qualifies for product replacement.  However, if order was correctly shipped and returned product is deemed non-defective, the customer is responsible for original return shipping costs incurred by Lamps And Lighting Galore’s warehouse and any additional shipping costs required to re-ship said merchandise to the customer location.Exclusions: All oversized/flat rate shipping merchandise return shipping costs must be originally incurred by the consumer, with financial reimbursement by Lamps And Lighting if the merchandise is found to be defective. If non-defective merchandise received by LampsAndLightingGalore.com warehouse does not qualify for replacement, the customer is fully responsible for all shipping transit costs. LampsAndLightingGalore.com reserves the right to take ownership of the said non-defective merchandise if the customer does not reimburse return shipping costs and outbound re-ship fees within 60 days.  Lamps And Lighting Galore will not offer financial reimbursement for returned non-defective products.

CLAIMS FILED AFTER 24 HOURS

All return merchandise claims filed after 48 hours of original delivery date are strictly defined as a manufacturer warranty issue.  LampsAndLightingGalore.com customers are fully responsible for return shipping costs, regardless of whether merchandise is found to be defective.  Products altered in any way will not qualify for return or exchange.  All products returned must be in the same condition as they were originally delivered to the purchaser by Lamps And Lighting Galore. Abusive wear and tear of products will not qualify a returned product for warranty coverage.  If merchandise is found to be defective, LampsAndLightingGalore.com will be responsible for replacement product shipping costs. 

RETURN POLICY PROCEDURES

A return RMA form must be signed in order to validate your return.  Pictures for defective parts may be requested and are also required to be received within 5 days of receipt of merchandise.  Failure to do so may forfeit your privilege to return/exchange the products.

BACKORDER POLICY

While we make every effort to keep all listed merchandise in stock, occasionally we are sold out of a certain item.   If we are out of stock on any item you have ordered, we will notify you by e-mail as quickly as possible.  We will then offer either a replacement item or store credit. 

REFUND / CREDIT PROCESSING

Lamps And Lighting Galore promptly issues credits/refunds for all pre-authorized cancelled order transactions within 21 business days of the original cancellation request date.  Please note that back-order refunds more than forty-five (45) days old based on original order date are refunded via Lamps And Lighting Galore company check, and delivered via mail. All available credits on account will expire after 365 days of order inactivity, and may not be used toward future purchases.Claims on damaged-shipped merchandise must be processed by our warehouse through the freight carrier.  Original receipt must be presented for credit or exchange. NO RECEIPT NO REFUND.  

RESTOCKING FEES

 All products that are approved for return are for order credit or exchange only and will incur a 25% cancellation/restocking fee.  However, if the return is the result of our error, we will pay the original and return fees and, in this case, re-stocking fees will not apply. 

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

 After your order has been processed cancellation will not be permitted. 
Effective 4/06/07, all qualifying unprocessed orders having order cancellation requests made within 2 business days from the date and time order was placed, will incur a 5% cancellation fee (based on order total).  Exceptions to this policy include cancellation requests related to unexpected shipping delays. If an order does not ship within the originally specified time frame (i.e. 10-15 business days, or later if otherwise specified), no cancellation fee will occur.

SIGNATURE REQUIRED DELIVERIES

Merchandise signed for is assumed delivered and no shortage claims will be considered unless noted on delivery ticket at time of delivery. For certain product lines LampsAndLightingGalore.com requires signature on delivery to minimize potential delivery fraud. If the receiving party/customer waves the signature required for order delivery, LampsAndLightingGalore.com takes no financial responsibility for the "lost package liability". If a signature waiver is required, LampsAndLightingGalore.com will need said statement in writing.  Verbal notification will not be accepted.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

For most Lamps And Lighting Galore merchandise, items are covered under manufacturer warranty for a minimum of 1 year. All our Touch Lamps carry a 1 year replacement warranty on the touch sensor (this is the part that makes all touch lamps work). If the touch sensor ceases to operate under normal working conditions, notify us with the details.  We will contact you with further instructions within 1-3 business days.
